If people like this, I may do more. If not, oh well.

Backstory: RE5 is being called out as racists. I wish I could say I was confused as to why but I guess a series that's always been based around Zombies must eventually visit the source of the mythos and that is where the tension is coming from. Personally, I don't see this issue, but I'm white. Which I know, in this country, is like admitting your a slave owner with millions in slave owning money. Where, if I gotta shoulder this shit, at least give me the money.

Anywho.... why don't I see the issue at it's roots? Because I've lead plenty of characters to slaughtering white zombies and hispanic zombies. Hell, truth be told, I don't see a fucking race. I see an undead thing with a mouth full of gore charging at me and I'm taking it the fuck down. Guess I'm at the point where this country wishes it could be because it's just a fucking game. You can take it or leave it.

Now, I respect N'Gai, I really do, but we have to look at this from another perspective.

1. It's not being developed in America. Period. You're essentially asking a foreign studio to know every aspect of our culture before designing a game. They have to know the sensitive areas as well. This, to me, seems extremely unreasonable since any other country wouldn't be seeing this the way they are. Hell, even the controversial PSP billboards weren't an issue until Americans made them an issue.

2. How come I'm not allowed to be offended at the violence Will Smith doles out to white people but this is supposed to offend me? Fucks sake, it's entertainment. If you give credence that simple entertainment has the power you're suggesting, don't bitch about the next game law.

3. If America wants to be more accepting of other cultures, we have to realize other cultures have a VERY stereotypical view of Americans. I mean, just look up the Japanese original Everybody's Golf for evidence. If we want Japanese games, we can't example bitch when the Japanese Cultural Innocence in regards to America creeps into it.

Well, the reason that they can get away with this quote/unquote 'racism' most of the time is because in Japan, the non-Asian population is marginal, so as a result, they're allowed to get away with a blatant amount of said racism. If I sound like I'm playing Devil's advocate, I'm not. I'm with you Sheppy, I think that this controversy is stupid and futile, too.

Ah yes, and not to mention the Dead Rising was also made by Capcom (in Japan, again), and I'm pretty damn sure that that I saw zombies of various colors in that game, too. If you think that zombies discriminate against one color, then you're probably safe from them because you most don't possess anything that they would desire.
